ARTICLE FORMAT REQUIREMENTS
Dear authors!
Before submitting your manuscript, please read the requirements regarding structure, formatting, citations and the bibliography carefully.
IMPORTANT! Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s online editorial platform. Articles may only be submitted if all authors have an ORCID identifier.
Key requirements for submitted articles:
✓ the manuscript must be prepared in .docx format;
✓ the article must be between 4,000 and 6,000 words in length;
✓ the main text is set in Times New Roman, font size 14 pt, line spacing 1.5;
✓ the article is written in Ukrainian or English;
✓ all authors have an ORCID;
✓ references to sources are correctly formatted within the text;
✓ the reference list includes only those sources that are cited in the text;
✓ the reference list does not contain any Russian publications or Russian-language publications;
✓ the English-language elements of the article have been prepared;
✓ the ‘REFERENCES (TRANSLATED AND TRANSLITERATED)’ section has been prepared;
✓ when completing the metadata, bibliographic records in the ‘REFERENCES’ field are separated by blank lines, and the links are active.

1. STRUCTURE OF THE ARTICLE
A research article must contain the following mandatory elements in the specified order:
- Title of the article;
- Information about the author(s);
- Abstract in Ukrainian;
- Keywords in Ukrainian;
- Main text;
- List of references;
- Abstract in English;
- Authors’ first names and surnames in English;
- Keywords in English;
- References.

File format: .docx
Length: 4,000–6,000 words
Font: Times New Roman
Main text: 14 pt
Line spacing: 1.5
Top margin: 20 mm
Bottom margin: 20 mm
Left margin: 20 mm
Right margin: 15 mm
Paragraph indent: 1.25 cm
Illustrative material (tables, figures and graphs):
- must be numbered;
- must be cited directly in the text at the point of first mention;
- must include captions.

3. LANGUAGE AND STYLE
Language of publication: Ukrainian or English.
! It is important to use an academic style of writing; to apply scientific terminology correctly; and to avoid journalistic and emotionally charged expressions.

4. ORDER OF PRESENTATION
▷ Author details*
✓ left-aligned;
✓ no indentation;
✓ font size – 10 pt;
1) Author’s full name (bold);
2) Academic title, academic degree, position;
3) Place of employment (name of institution, town or city);
4) Email address (italics);
5) ORCID (italics).
* If there are several authors, the details for each author should be presented on separate lines.
IMPORTANT!
Please note that, in accordance with editorial ethics, the list of authors must include those who have made a substantial contribution to the research presented in the article. Academic status, position or other indicators of seniority should not determine the order in this list. The order of authors should reflect the relative leadership and the extent of the researchers’ contributions to the scientific work in question.

▷ Abstract
✓ the word ‘Abstract’ appears at the beginning in bold;
✓ length – 250–300 words;
✓ standard font for the abstract;

✓ left and right margins – 1 cm.
▷ Keywords
✓ the phrase ‘Keywords:’ appears at the beginning in semi-bold italics;
✓ 5–7 terms, separated by semicolons;
✓ font: regular;
✓ font size: 10 pt;
✓ justified;
✓ left and right margins: 1 cm.
▷ Main text of the article
✓ font — Times New Roman;
✓ font size – 14 pt;
✓ justified alignment;
✓ paragraph indent – 1.25 cm;

IMPORTANT!
The main text must contain the following structural elements: Introduction → Statement of the problem → Review of previous research → Aims and objectives → Methodology → Results → Discussion → Conclusions → Prospects for further research.
▷ References
✓ subheading: ‘REFERENCES’ (left-aligned, bold, all capital letters; font size 12);
✓ Formatted in accordance with the APA style (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association);
✓ After each reference, the original language of the source must be indicated in brackets, for example, (in Ukrainian), (in English).
IMPORTANT!
The list of references should include only those sources that are cited in the text of the submission. We recommend that the list of references contain no more than 30 entries.
Self-citations should not exceed 15 per cent of the total number of sources listed in the bibliography. We recommend that at least 40 per cent of the publications in the list of references be from journals indexed in Scopus/WoS, demonstrating the author(s)’ familiarity with the chosen subject area at an international level.
The list of references MUST NOT include works by Russian or Belarusian authors, nor materials published in the Russian language.

5. CITATIONS IN THE TEXT
For English-language articles
Citations of sources used in the main text of the article should follow these rules: ✓ surname,
✓ year of publication,
✓ page or range of pages of the source used.
Examples: (Hanraads, 2010, p. 23), (Hanraads, 2010, pp. 22–25)
*The page number is not specified:
✓ if the reference is to a website;
✓ if the reference is to the material of the entire book (article) as a whole.
IMPORTANT!
In any other situation, for example when paraphrasing a source, you must always include page numbers.

6. RESPONSIBILITIES OF AUTHORS AND THE EDITORIAL BOARD
Authors bear primary responsibility for:
✓ the accuracy of the data presented;
✓ the correctness of citations;
✓ the completeness of bibliographic details.
Submission of a manuscript certifies that the material:
✓ is original;
✓ is accurate;
✓ complies with the requirements of academic integrity.
The editorial board, in turn, ensures:
editorial and peer-review oversight;
verification of compliance with formatting standards;
adherence to international principles of publication ethics.

7. COMPLETING SUBMISSION METADATA
When completing the submission metadata in the ‘REFERENCES’ category, the following requirements must be observed:
✓ Bibliographic entries must be separated by blank lines.
✓ Links to sources must be active.
✓ Be sure to remove any extra spaces in the link.
